The Challenge

As an unpaid intern at Baked Studios, I was brought in to assist with rotoscoping and paint work on P!nk's "Raise Your Glass" music video — a high-profile project with an aggressive deadline.

Mid-production, the lead VFX artist left the project. The studio was at risk of missing the delivery deadline for a Grammy-contending video.

The remaining shots required complex compositing work: green screen extractions, set extensions, particle effects, and seamless integration of practical and CG elements.

The Solution

I stepped up. Despite being the least experienced person in the room, I volunteered to take ownership of the remaining VFX shots and coordinate with more senior artists.

Working 16-hour days, I completed the complex compositing work while directing other team members on cleanup and support tasks. I established an efficient review pipeline to ensure nothing slipped through.

We delivered on time. The video went on to receive a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video, and I was offered a full-time position at the studio.
